Cosmetic Tattoo Lightening

Refine, Correct, and Start Fresh

At Flamingo Room, we use Li-FT® pigment lightening solution, a saline-based method designed specifically for cosmetic tattoo correction. Unlike laser, this technique relies on your body’s natural healing process to gently lift pigment to the surface, where it flakes away as the skin heals.

This service is best for small corrections—such as “woopsie” areas on brow tattoos or pigment sitting outside the natural lip line. It is not intended for large-scale or full body art removal.

If you’re unsure whether saline or laser removal is right for you, please book a consultation. We’ll assess your tattoo and guide you to the safest, most effective option.

Is This Treatment Right For You?

Saline removal is a safe option for many, but we cannot perform removal if you:

  • Are under 18
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Are on acne medication (current or within the past year)
  • Have keloid scarring
  • Have vitiligo
  • Have uncontrolled diabetes
  • Are prone to hyperpigmentation
  • Avoid exfoliating skincare products, including retinol, for 1 week before your treatment.
  • Pain tolerance may be lower during menstruation, so consider this when booking.
  • Do not schedule immediately before important events—redness and scabbing will be visible for 7–10 days.
  • The Li-FT® solution is applied using a hand tool with fine needles, encouraging pigment to rise to the surface through osmosis.
  • After treatment, the area will appear red or darker (similar to a scraped knee). As a scab forms and naturally falls away, pigment lifts with it.
  • Healing typically takes 7–10 days. While the scab is present, it may look like darker brows or lip liner to others.
  • Skin may remain light pink for a few weeks. Vitamin E oil is recommended during recovery.

The number of sessions varies depending on: skin type, age of the tattoo, depth and density of pigment, and desired outcome.

Some clients only need lightening before new work, while others want near-complete removal. On average, 1–5 sessions are required.

  • Multiple sessions may be required
  • A minimum healing time of 8 weeks is needed between treatments
  • Not suitable for large body tattoo removal
  • Results vary depending on pigment, age, and depth
